What Gas Mileage Will You Get On The 2022 Hyundai Tucson?

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, the modern adventure SUV, is a compact SUV, considered Hyundai’s best Tucson ever. Under the hood there is 187-hp 2.5L GDI/MPI 4-cylinder engine powering this automatic transmission. The SE, SEL and Limited trim models come with the same engine size.

The sportier 2022 Hyundai Tucson N Line is expected soon. It boasts the same 187-hp 2.5L GDI/MPI 4-cylinder engine and has the same estimated gas mileage of 26 city/33 highway.

The Tucson Hybrid comes in three trims-Hybrid Blue, Hybrid SEL Convenience and the Hybrid Limited. Each has a 1.6L turbocharged GDI 4-cylinder Hybrid engine. The EPA estimated gas mileage for the Hybrid Blue is 38 city/38 highway, while the SEL Convenience and the Limited are 36 city/37 highway.    

The Plug-In Hybrid is Hyundai’s “recharge-or-refuel SUV with standard HTRAC All Wheel Drive.” It will come in two trims-SEL and Limited. It is expected that the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid can drive up to 32 miles in all-electric mode. That will take you from Yakima to Sunnyside or Yakima to close to Ellensburg. The EPA estimated fuel economy is 24 city/29 highway in gas mode. The 13.8kWh battery will charge fully in just under two hours.
