Did you know that the Hyundai logo has a hidden meaning? Its ‘H’ represents the Hyundai brand. But it is also goes a bit deeper.

A Little Hyundai Background

Hyundai launched December 29, 1967 in South Korea. Their Ulsan plant was finished the next year. As of today, the plant is the world’s largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility. It has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million units.

The first vehicle assembled at the Ulsan plant was the Ford Cortina. After the huge success with the Cortina, Hyundai moved on to developing its own car. The Pony came to market in December 1975. It was the first mass-produced car in South Korea and was the flagship car for Hyundai for many years. Today, Hyundai is the largest car manufacturer in South Korea and a leader in the automotive industry looking towards the future with advanced technology and environmentally sound vehicles.
