How To Use The Hyundai Remote Smart Parking Assist

December 23rd, 2021 by

Now you can park with the push of a button. The available Hyundai Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) is easy to use. It is helpful when parking in a spot that does not leave much room for entering and exiting the vehicle. It allows you to park while you are outside the vehicle. In order for the remote to work, you must be within 13 feet from the vehicle.

Steps To Use The Remote Smart Parking Assist

To use the function, follow these steps:

1. Place your vehicle in front of the space where you want to park.
2. Put the vehicle in park.
3. Press the RSPA button on the center console.
4. Exit the vehicle.
5. Stand in a safe position, within 13 feet of the vehicle.
6. On the smart key, hold either the forward or backward button.

The vehicle will travel up to 23 feet while holding the button. Pressing and holding the button a second time will allow the vehicle to travel another 23 feet. The moving forward or backward will stop if an object is in the way. The vehicle can also turn the steering wheel to avoid detectable objects. To cancel the remote moving, release the forward or backward button, then press the remote start button on the smart key. This will place the vehicle in park, engage the parking brake and switch off. Or you can enter the vehicle with the smart key and depress the brake or close all the doors. This will cause the engine to stay on.
