How To Set Up The Custom Button In Your Hyundai

You have so many features in Hyundai’s multimedia system. For example, your smart phone, phone projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Audio, display audio, data services and more. Selecting these functions and moving from one to another can involve several steps. Taking this in mind, Hyundai created a shortcut button. This button will take you to your favorite and most used function right away with this custom button.
 
 
Depending on your model, there might be different locations of the custom button. It may be found on the steering wheel and/or on the media control panel. Each of these buttons can be programmed for its own function.
 
 
 
 

How To Set Up The Custom Button

Setting up the Hyundai custom button is easy to do.

Starting on the home screen, touch:
1. All Menus
2. Setup
3. Custom Button
4. Select the function you want to assign to the button

On the multimedia system control panel, located below the display screen, press:
1. Setup button
2. On the display screen, touch Custom Button
3. Select the function you want to assign to the button

If you have both a custom button on the media system and the steering wheel, you can program different functions for each button.
On the steering wheel, press:
1. Custom Button, hold until menu appears on the touchscreen
2. Choose desired function

On the media system, press:
1. Custom Button, hold until menu appears on the touchscreen
2. Choose desired function

For these two options, not all functions will be available for both buttons.
