U.S. News looked at 107 luxury and mainstream hybrid models, plug-hybrid models and electric car models. The Hyundai TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) won the award because of its outstanding overall quality, starting price, its level 2 charging rate, fuel economy and range data from the EPA.

With its combined 261 HP from its 1.6L turbo engine and electric motor, it has more power than the gas-powered version of the TUCSON. Thanks to its e-Handling technology that combines the traction control system and electric motor to give you tighter cornering performance, this TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid is fun to drive.

It takes seven hours to charge the vehicle using a standard 110-volt power outlet. If using a 240-volt charger, it takes under two hours to charge.
